Stormin Norman, Rodney King, and Arthur Murray all made the news on Sunday March 3,1991. It was one of those days that news just could not stop happening. Shortly after midnight on Sunday March 3,1991 in L.A. four police officers clubbed a black man named Rodney King. They were acquitted in April 1992 and it started the biggest riots ever in L.A. The Iraqi had surrendered a few days earlier and on March 3 General Norman Schwarzkopf met with them to create a peace agreement. Later that day the dance icon Arthur Murray died of pneumonia. He was 95. If that was not enough, on the same day the Baltic States Estonia and Latvia declared their independence. Now lets go back 60 years.
