Storms are firing currently around the western parts of the Capricornia region and Wide Bay and Burnett districts. They are currently pushing in a north easterly direction and are NOT severely warned. Today however appears to be a volatile setup for severe thunderstorms for the Capricornia region, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Wide Bay and Burnett and parts of The Central Coast and Whitsunday areas. Image 1 shows current storm activity on the Gladstone radar, image 2 shows thunderstorm potential for 4pm this afternoon. Yellow-Storms Possible Orange-Storms Likely Red-Possible Severe Storms Purple-Likely Severe Storms Storms today have the potential for Heavy Rainfall, Damaging Winds and Large Hailstones.
