Story time sessions at Kempsey Library Kempsey Library’s November story time will be held at 10.30am on Friday 29 November. Angie will be the story teller for the morning reading stories about rainforests and the beautiful creatures that live there. This session will include a craft activity. If you’re looking for some Christmas cheer, join our library staff for the December story time session at 10.30am on Friday 6 December. Alison will read “Santa’s Aussie Mix-Up” by Colin Buchanan and Simon Swingler. This story features a group of Aussie animals who become very confused about gift giving on Christmas Day. The session will include Christmas craft activities. Story time sessions at Kempsey Library are free, and are suitable for kids aged between 2 and 6 years. No need to book, just come along and enjoy the fun. Monthly Book Sale at Kempsey Library Members of the Friends of the Library, Kempsey Group (FOLK) will be holding their next book sale on Friday 29 November, commencing at 10.30am. As always, there will be loads and loads of pre-loved books and magazines, as well as a selection of audio books, CDs, videos and other items no longer required by the library. Prices start as low as 50c per book, or fill a box for $5. The sale runs from 10.30am to 4pm with sales tables being kept well stocked during the day until closing. All proceeds from the FOLK monthly book sales go towards supporting reading and literacy in the Kempsey Shire.
