Straight after the group Charleston class at 7pm tonight, were kicking off our first ever level 2 class at 8pm. That means its time to learn the Swingout from scratch!!! Trust us, this is a momentous event in your swing dancing lives to date. To get you pumped up and ready to go, heres a clip from a group called the Silver Shadows that demonstrates how good Lindy Hop can look both slow and fast. This was at the tribute event Frankie 95 in New York City which was celebrating the 95th birthday of Frankie Manning. Frankie unfortunately passed away just a few weeks before this event in 2009, so this routine is a tribute to him; an originator of Lindy Hop and arguably the person who has done the most for the dance throughout its history. This performance showcases both some of his signature moves and favourite tracks to dance to.
