Stranger Danger is a phrase many families and schools have used for generations. But is the idea worthless? And does the message to children need to change? Psychologist Michael Carr-Gregg thinks so as research shows that most abusers are people the child knows – a family friend, baby-sitter etc. He suggested that parents should work through scenarios to teach children what to do. The message to children is this: you can talk to strangers but don’t go off with them. #ncpweek
