Strategic changes with strategic programmes Within our strategic programmes cluster there have been a number of significant developments. Grant discussions are progressing with the Centres for Diseases Control and Aurum for the expansion of the programme to strengthen Correctional Service Health Systems in the newly established Correctional Services Support Department (CSSD). The new department at Right to Care will be headed by Dr Seithati Molefi who is currently our Free State Provincial Manager. Craig Chapman, a pioneer of our work in correctional services, has also joined the Department and will lead the Kick TB and HIV programme. Sibusiso Maseko will also transfer from the Global Fund team to the CSSD and Joyce Moodley will be the acting Area Operations Manager in KwaZulu-Natal. Further staff appointments will be announced soon. The CSSD will support health systems strengthening and HIV/TB activities throughout Free State, Northern Cape and most of the KwaZulu-Natal DJCS Regions. Collectively these areas cover almost 50% of the country and around one third of the DJCS population.
