Street car Supernationals - Final Eliminations Results PSCA officials and racers have returned to The Strip for a fifth day to complete eliminations over cool temperatures left us with an unsafe surface to race on last night. In the Outlaw Pro Mod class, Eric Dillard defeated a red-lighting Mike Maggio in the semifinals, but experienced severe engine damage and was unable to return for the final, allowing his teammate, Turky al Zafiri, to single for the win. In doing, the Q80 team ran the table in Street Car Super Nationals events in 2014. In Pro Mod, Rick Snavely, who was injured in a devastating crash at this race just a couple of years ago, triumphed over a 29-car field, running a 5.85 in the final round to defeat Michael Biehle, who got crossed up and swapped lanes, immediately disqualifying himself. Taylor Lastor took Outlaw 10.5 honors over former event champion Mike Murillo with an off-pace 7.63, while Chris Alston Jr. rolled to a 4.39 in the Xtreme Drag Radial/TT5 final for the win, as opponent Kelly Henry broke just off the starting line. In Pro Radial, Roger Holder clicked off another deadly-consistent 6.13 in the semifinals to advance into the final round, where he was matched with David Rogers. Holder fell off his torrid pace with a 6.65 at 220 mph for the win, as Rogers slowed and coasted across the stripe. In Wild Street, No. 1 qualifier Eric Gustafson clicked off low elapsed time in the semifinals with a 4.45 to punch his ticket into the final against Chris Groves. In the most exciting championship match of the day, Groves took an .014 to .032 edge out of the gate, but was just edged out at the stripe by Gustafson, 4.501 to 4.522. East coast invader Michael DeMayo charged to Hot Street honors with his ’95 Mustang, using an 8.00 to oust Bryan Cobbett’s 8.31. And in Outlaw 8.5, Joe Gallagher outlasted a tight field for the win, running 5.03 in the money round to down Eric Stubbs’ 5.29. Other winners included Don McDavitt (Super Index), Brian Weber (Super Index), Sergio Felipe (Mustang Madness), Bob Bundy (Bracket 1), Scott Horsley (Street Muscle). The remaining Open Comp competitors split the purse in the semifinal
