Strengthen your neck muscles with isometric exercises – a form of exercise where you develop tension in the muscles without actual movement. Put both of your hands on your forehead and push your head forward against the hands. This will help develop the front of your neck, and pushing the head backwards against clasped hands behind the neck will strengthen the muscles at the rear. Likewise, pushing to the side against your left or right hand helps strengthen your lateral neck muscles. Hold each contraction for 10 to 15 seconds, then rest and repeat.
