Stress Tip #6 - Close your eyes and focus on your breathing and heartbeat, as intensely as possible, for between 30 seconds and two minutes. Once you have found them really well, notice sounds around you, smells, what your clothes feel like etc. Focussing on such subtle things usually helps take the mind away from the stressful thoughts its fixated on - and that in turn usually reduces anxiety and stress.
