Strive To Be Humble: We as Christians need to strive for humility. Some pride themselves at being humble, and that’s the worst form of pride. We need to be truly okay in our hearts when we are passed over for a big church position, promotion, or any lost opportunity, and not harbor even a speck of resentment. When someone else takes the credit for something clearly you deserved, stay silently humble, and inwardly too, not harboring even a bit of resentment. Even an ounce of pride, will separate us from our Lord and Savior! It takes prayer, commitment, and a close walk with God to be humble. Jesus set a wonderful example of living a humble life. He didnt push to be an important church leader. He didnt choose the best for Himself. He didnt even try to look important. Instead, he wore humble clothing, slept in humble dwellings, and was born in a humble manager. Humble hearts seek grace, and when received, they are grateful, and give God the glory! Be little in your own esteem, and the Lord will do a mighty work in you. Always strive to be humble! Text: James 4:6-10, Ps 149:4, Micah 6:8
