Strong turnout by residents of Hazlemere at tonights HPC Meeting. Many of them were from the Green Street area concerned that without any open public consultation the children;s play area on the Hazlemere Recreation Ground is to be refurbished and moved to the rear of the Crown PH, leaving a space free.... for what??? The Council has yet to consider the Business Plan and give approval for a skatepark to be sited in that freed up space, presumably the missing Tony Howard and his skatepark committee are still compiling that plan. More on this to follow. Councillors present tonight were Brian Mapletoft, Natasha Howard, Alex Slater , Judy Weaver, Ken Tucker and Jay Vincent. Absent were D Thompson, P Whitehead, Andy Baldwin and Nicole Howard - the latter missing her 13th out of the last 16 meetings she could have attended - but whos counting!
