Stronger Together: Partners in Missionary Care Sat. April 26, 2014 9 am – 3 pm Come and learn how three strategic partnerships equip and enable local churches to thrive in their missions endeavors. A seminar presented by Missions Fest Vancouver and Canadian Member Care Network, BC Chapter. Topics include: “The Role of the Local Church in the Lives of their Missionaries”, “What Missions could do for your Church”, and “Missionary Expectations of their Church, Agency & Each Other” $30 ($25 for member s of MFV Sponsoring Church) Click link for more info and registration Guest Speaker: Dr. Bryan Born Bryan’s passion is to engage with the world following the way of Jesus, and to encourage people to experience reconciliation with God, life transformation, and a sense of purpose in their lives. He and his wife, Teresa, spent 12 years ministering in Botswana with African Independent Churches, where they were involved in discipleship, Biblical training, HIV/AIDS related ministries, and youth work. He also served as an associate pastor to youth for 6 years prior to their African ministry. Prior to taking on the role of Columbia Bible College President in late 2012, he served as Director of the Intercultural Studies (Missions) program at Columbia for 8 1/2 years. Bryan holds Master’s degrees in Divinity and Theology, along with a Doctorate in Missiology from the University of South Africa.
