Strongly condemn the horrific acid attack on a young girl, a law student, at Nowshera Srinagar. As a society we need to stand up against these heinous, inhuman acts and introspect within. The society must strive to restore a value system that used to hold women in high esteem. In this hour of pain I stand with the victim and her family, and hope the perpetrators of this dastardly crime are expeditiously brought to justice. Reputed surgeon (and national spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party) Dr Sameer Kaul has extended complete free medical assistance to the victim. We all pray for her speedy recovery.
