Stroud, OK In May 1999 Stroud was hit by an tornado that devastated the town. The seven year old Tanger Outlet Mall was wiped off of the map. You can still see the foundation to the left of I-44 as you pass through town. Now, thanks to the Eastern Flyer, Stroud will get a second chance to add to momentum generated by the present oil boom. The photos here are of another era. The semaphore track signals, caboose, and Frisco are gone. Fortunately; however, the tracks are still there and are being rehabilitated to 60-mph standard.
