Struck today on reading of about so many Liberians who have contracted Ebola while washing/burying their parents, children, spouses dead bodies. Then I went to read about the seventh Corporal Work of Mercy: Bury the Dead An article read: No doubt most of us make sure that our relatives and friends have a proper funeral service. Would we in such terrible circumstances? I read countless stories of those who have lost husband and 2 children or father, mother, sister and spouse. They are quite literally surrounded by death and disease. And so even further struck by the beautiful, self sacrificing mercy that these sisters and brothers of ours have shown in the midst of such suffering. Mercy, my friends, is far greater than anything this dreadful disease can dole out. God bless them.
