SBG is still here, wow! Erika: Amazing! Very inspiring and rich history. Andrew: Yes, Gallaudet just turned 150th years old anniversary and SBG is standing strong after years and years. Erika: Continuing, we will never stop! Andrew: Of course, we will keep our legacy running! Erika: Yes, for sure! What is SBG’s Corner? *Cut in close to Erika* Erika: It means improve transparency and visibility. We will announce different events, reports, important projects, and many more. *Cut in close to Andrew* Andrew: As of SBG running, we are very exciting to invest our energy, new ideas to make some improvements for student on this campus. Our administrator’s goal motto is By You, For You. Can you, Erika to elaborate the purpose of this motto? *Cut in close to Erika* Erika: The motto means what? You, people have different interpret. It could mean we stand by you, for you; fight by you, for you, and many more meanings. We really believe in student center approach. Then flash pops out and show a picture of whole SBG Cabinet Team *Cut in close to Andrew* Andrew: I am sure you have seen through the website, pictures, and videos about National Zoo. Last June, Public Relations Communication Department of Gallaudet University contacted me that National Zoo would like to have collaborated with Gallaudet University and Harvard University to develop a project. The project is naming two new Bison at the National Zoo. I was very enthusiasm to get involved and partnership with DC community by sending out all student organization leaders on Gallaudet campus with proposal of four leaders’ name. The student organization leaders had spoken and it kept secret until this day, August 27th when we went to National Zoo. Media was involved such as FOX News, National Graphic, and many more. I gave a presentation with interpreter and announced the name of Bison: Wilma! I explained the reason why we picked Wilma as National Zoo’s one of new Bison, was a great former leader, Wilma Newhoudt-Druchen. She graduated from Gallaudet and she is current serve as Board member of Gallaudet University. *A footage of Smithsonian National Zoo clips including Andrew’s presentation, present of two bison along with Harvard University’s SBG president, and pictures of two Bison: Zora and Wilma.* *Cut in close to Erika* Erika: I am sure you probably noticed an email from Andrew Morrill related to Financial Aid Office. Our goal is to improve customer service, system related to Financial Aid. Now, we need your help! How? *Cut in close to Andrew* Andrew: Of course, you can help! How? You can type a summary of your experience through facing barriers with this office. We need to collect evidences, documents, and any written documents and send to Student Affairs through [email protected] Andrew: This fall semester is exciting, lot of events are coming up! So, you go get your marker and calendar to get your dates marked. Ready? *Cut in close to Erika* Erika: Bison Hall will be happening on 2nd Tuesday of each month. What is Bison Hall? It is student body gathering discuss, voice, and inputs on different subjects. The next Bison Hall will be on October 14th. Location and Time will be announced soon. *Cut in close to Andrew* Andrew: Student Congress meeting will be happening on every other Wednesday of each month. It will go through with different motions on different topics, to see if we agree to pass or not on the motions. You are welcome to watch the Student Congress meeting!
