Student Spotlight Saturday! Introducing Luke Engel! Luke came away with us to Peru this summer with the Royal Forest of Dean Campus College and thoroughly loved his time in the jungle! Hes now gone on to study Conservation Biology in the University of Plymouth and is working hard towards a true conservation career! This expedition was truly an experience of a life time! The people were amazing, the surveys were incredible and the animals ranged from the absolute bizarre to the damn cute! Here is a song, Kings of a strange land, that I wrote about our changing world and I figured there was no where more appropriate to play it than in the middle of an area which is being faced with so many overwhelming changes. The volunteer work I did with Operation Wallacea not only gave me some great experience in conservation but helped contribute towards the maintenance of the Pacaya Samirira National Reserve too. I would definitely recommend it! Massively congratulations to Luke for getting on to his university course and we wish you all the best with your future, whether it be in conservation or music! All rights belong with Luke for this song content.
