Student Volunteer Team 2013 Inspire, Engage, Learn: Do you want to contribute to student life and the local community, gain employable skills, and have fun? Are you interested? If yes, then the Student Volunteer Team (SVT) is a new project that could be for you! You can choose from a variety of roles to improve and support student engagement in Volunteering & Employability (V&E), including: • Team Leader: Lead the team to make a massive impact on student and community life by coordinating all SVT activity. • Events Officers x 2: Support the design, delivery, and promotion of volunteering events. • Communications Officers x 2: Promote V&E and volunteering through face-to-face publicity, lecture shout-outs, and designing and moderating a volunteering blog and SVT social media/web pages. • Volunteer Advisors x 2: Support start up of student-led volunteering projects. gather feedback from stu¬dents to come up with creative ways to improve their experience of volunteering, and help support students throughout the volunteering process. Why Should You Get Involved? Be the first SVT members to take ownership of these roles, shape the direction of volunteering at Coventry University Students’ Union (CUSU), and develop fresh ideas to engage students in V&E. Improve your personal and professional development by receiving free professional skills training, supporting CUSU staff, and meeting like-minded volunteers. Make a difference to the local community, gain transferable skills, and boost your CV. Receive a bursary of up to £100 at the end of the year as a reward for all of your hard work.
