Students of FVAS, Rawalakot, Again On Strike” (Friday 28-03-2014) Students of Faculty of veterinary & Animal Sciences, University Of Poonch, Rawalakot have again boycotted the classes & have come on strike. Remember that seven months ago, these students boycotted the classes and remained on strike for more than 36 days.These students marched towards Islamabad and protested in front of Islamabad Press Club and Kashmir House. Talking to a University student, he said that “this faculty was established in 2006 and passage of 8 years still this faculty is not accredited. The University Management is not taking this issue seriously. Future of more than 250 students is on risk. Last time about 6 months ago, President PVMC, Vice Chancellor, Registrar of University of Poonch, Secretory Livestock & Agriculture A.K, Advisor of President AJK along with some other higher Authorities promised to the students that your faculty will be accredited in next 3 months. But after passage of 6 months, the promise did not fulfill as usual”. The students are saying that this time they will not trust anyone and will remain on strike till their final destination, accreditation of their degrees by PVMC, will be achieved.
