Students return to classes in Pilot Point ISD next Monday, August 26th. Pilot Point Police Department reminds drivers to be aware of students walking and riding bicycles to and from school, loading and unloading of buses and parents dropping off and picking up students. School zone speed limits are in effect at the following locations: Pilot Point Elementary School - 829 S Jefferson Street Pilot Point Intermediate School – 501 E Carroll Street Pilot Point Middle School – 828 S. Harrison Street Pilot Point High School – 1300 N Washington Street ** New School Zone** The Education Center – 11100 US Hwy 377 This location has an advisory/suggested speed limit of 35mph Also remember: Driving in a school zone and talking or texting on your cell phone is prohibited. Drivers must stop for a school bus any time its red lights are flashing. Children walking to and from school should cross only at intersections or designated crossings, making sure the coast is clear before crossing.
