Students should be given a free hand in selection appropriate professional careers for themselves and there should be no involvement of parents in the process of such decision making Do you agree or disagree Whether or not parent should interfere about their children professional career is a debatable topic. some educationalists assert that children should be given a free hand in the selection of their future career. Although i agree with this view to some extent, I believe parents input can be invaluable in this regard. One of the main reasons why it is argued that children should be given a full authority what they decide about themselves is that parents involvement not only can be detrimental , it can also badly effect on their children future. For example, some parents force their child to choose subjects at university level which they think might be suitable for him, however, the end results of this often either he fails to complete his study or he does not produce adequate results which would give him successful career. Nevertheless, I believe that parents input and advice can be valuable for their children when it comes to such a crucial decision which would impact rest of their life. Obviously, parents guide and support is vital as they are in a better position to have their important feedbacks and input so that an informed decisions can be taken which would produce positive results. For example, I personally know some doctors who always took advice of their parents on board and now living a successful professional life. All in all,no parents would like to make poor choices for their children future, thereby, there inputs should be welcomed. However, a student should be given a choice of ultimate decision about which field they would like to go.
