Students warned to stop causing disturbances in schools The Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) has warned students who are allegedly causing disturbances in schools to desist from such or face expulsion. According to a press statement signed by MoESD Permanent Secretary Grace Muzila, students who are found to participate in or start disruptions or vandalise school property will be expelled from school. The statement continues to note that, “This is an important period where Standard 7, Form 3 and Form 5 candidates begin to sit for their final examinations. Parents and the Community at large are therefore encouraged to help in advising their children and students in general to remain focused in their academic work.” This follows a few media reports that reported a few misunderstandings between students and teachers that led to school disruptions.
