Students’ Federation of India – Tamilnadu State Committee calls for a state wide protest on 11th June, 2014 to implement the Right to Education Act & demanding to take vindictive action against the Private Educational Institution to collect the fees fixed by the Fee Committee. To enact law for compulsory mother tongue education throughout the state were the main demand. Sfi State Secretary joined the protest in front of Directorate of School Education at Chennai the capital city and more than hundreds of student activists were arrested. Sfi State President P Uchi Makali joined the protest in Coimbatore, In Tanjore District Sfi State Vice – President P Saravana Tamizhan headed over the protest and Sfi State Vice – President V Mariappan joined the protest held at Madurai in front of the Chief Education of Officer and arrested. Sfi Tamilnadu State Committee strongly condemns the police atrocity in the students struggle.
