Studies like the one cited in the below article are questionable - TopicsExpress

Studies like the one cited in the below article are questionable at best. There are 127 youth in an outpatient substance abuse program, 90 of them cite marijuana as their most frequently used substance, but there is NO information given on whether or not it is the ONLY substance used (and no indication that any of the participants are in the program solely due to cannabis). Then they make claims about withdrawal symptoms that could very well be linked to other substances also used previous to their entry into the program, but they do not quantify those other substances or other information that could lend answers to the obvious confounding factors. So what has the below study actually demonstrated then? Bias, plain and simple.
