Studying DNA and diet can be crucial. Wish we would have known this years ago. On my Fathers side of the family there is quite a bit of hearing loss. Most people just say hey our hearing goes because it is hereditary. The wise ones from that side of the family who have been following me with this hearing loss decided to go get their ferritin levels checked. Guess what? The ones with the hearing issues all had extremely elevated ferritin levels. Hereditary hemochromatosis can be manageable and being tested can save lives. What is happening to your hearing is happening to your heart, liver, kidneys, lungs and other organs in the body. Looking back now and knowing my genetics, I know why my Father died at 45. HFE H63D (hemochromatosis), G6PD (could have avoided beans and saved his red blood cells) SOD (manganese deficiency along with HFE makes you at a 10 fold increase of an MI), CYP1b1 (estrogen dominance, adrenal fatigue, elevated epinephrine, breast cancer), COMT V158M (estrogen dominance, adrenal fatigue elevated epinephrine, breast cancer), SULT2a1 (estrogen dominance, adrenal fatigue, elevated epinephrine, breast cancer). All of these are the perfect storm for anxiety, nervousness, breast cancer, thyroid disease and heart attack. All this could have been avoided if we would have known this years ago. People dont just have rich blood, thick blood and are just going deaf. All of this can now be avoided just by tweaking diet. Any of my family willing to do their 23andme can run my app and get a free 3 hour recorded consult. Please remove pride and ego and make your health a priority. books.google/books?id=DTgxZuSRQeYC&pg=PA106&lpg=PA106&dq=hemochromatosis+deafness&source=bl&ots=vRDjbNIb8i&sig=IMBtP2liPjtH8fn9lT3U3KIMa38&hl=en&sa=X&ei=4A5iVMrUBYWzyAT08oLYCA&ved=0CEwQ6AEwBg#v=onepage&q=hemochromatosis%20deafness&f=false Help Heal and love everyone. ~~Sterling Hill Erdei
