Stuffed Grape Leaves Dolmas To Prepare grape leaves (fresh),drop young pale-green leaves into boiling water and Blanche until colour darkens ,about 4 or 5 minutes.Remove leaves and drain well. To prepare canned grape leaves,place briefly in hot water to separate. 30 tender grape leaves 2 tbsp. finely chopped parsley 2 cups finely chopped onions 1 tsp. dill ( optional) sauteed i tsp. salt 1/2 cup rice 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/3 cup vegetable oil Combine ingredients,excluding leaves.Take 1 tsp of filling and place in 1 grape leaf.Carefully arrange in bottom of a baking dish touching one another.Add enough water to come just to the top of the filled leaves.Bake covered in slow oven for 1 hour or until tender when priced with a fork.Baking dish should remained covered,not to allowing steam to escape,until they are cool.Should Serve warm.Delicious with yogurt spooned over each serving.
