Stung by the criticism over distribution of water along caste lines, the Ahmedabad district authorities swung into action to suspend the sarpanch and talati of Dhanwada village of Bavla taluka. Meanwhile, the sarpanch has blackened the names of the castes put on the bore-well room at the entry point of the village. "It is a very serious issue, which cannot be tolerated at all. We will not allow anyone involved get away," said KR Antrolia, the taluka development officer (TDO) of Bavla taluka.
