Stupid Crime File: A 64-year-old man in Australia attempted to steal a woman’s car at knifepoint on Saturday, but he failed to flee the scene quick enough. The man allegedly took too much time loading his walker and groceries into the vehicle. The senior from Queensland approached a 22-year-old woman in the parking lot of a Kmart and held her up with a knife he had just bought in the store, Geelong Senior-Constable Paul Mitchell told the Geelong Advertiser. The woman quickly called the police, and officers arrived before the elderly man had time to take off in her car. Mitchell called it "the most bizarre incident" he saw in all his years on the job. The senior is set to appear in court today. The young woman he robbed was unharmed, and all her belongings were recovered undamaged.
