Stupid cold. I am fighting his damned germ with every fiber of my being! Im taking the last of whatever cold medicine I have in the house, (that Spiderman left here during his last visit), because funds are low, and I am just glad I have something. I also have some Airborne Ive been sucking back. I honestly couldnt give a crap about New Years Eve. But being sick on my birthday will suck. So Im resting, drinking tea, and Im gonna go for a walk, to get the blood pumping:) I want to put on a coat and go out in the cold like I want a giant boil on my ass, but Im pretty sure the fresh air will do me good, and the exercise will get the blood pumping, which boosts immunity, so I WILL push myself. It will do my chubby boy some good to get a little time away from YouTube, as well. I fully expect you citizens to hold me to this. I can not be trusted to follow through on my own... I think its time to make a big pot of chicken soup, too. The real deal...with the whole chicken, and all the fat that goes with it. I dont care how healthy a diet should be...there is something to be said for a certain amount of fat in the foods where it occurs naturally. And I am pretty sure I read somewhere that there is a component in the chicken fat that aids in the comfort it provides to a cold sufferer. Or maybe I made that up...but were gonna run with it:) It also helps that soup is my daughters very favorite meal on the planet, and I make it with onions, celery, carrots, spinach, tomatoes, and load it up with pasta, so it IS a full meal:) I had some in the freezer, and heated it up last night...just as I was about to sit down to eat it, Spartacus came in and said, You want soup! Hes got his pronouns mixed up, but it was very clear, there would be no soup for mom:) And he ATE THE WHOLE BOWL. Spinach, carrots, celery, onions...all of it. There was a time (last week) when he would eat AROUND the veggies. And here we are, just a week later, and every last morsel was gone. Miracles. Gotta love em. Since the kids love soup, and I love soup, and there is no one here to complain and say, Wheres the rest of the meal?, soup...its whats for dinner:) Now, more tea and my gifted cold medicine:)
