Stupid question; But, if you do not use it you lose it. Single phase 220v with one hot @ 220v and one grounded conductor (neutral) is easy peasy; However, I have forgotten if 2-110v phases in and out constitute "single Phase" as I remember the two legs (phases) of 110v are 180 degrees out of phase with each other. Seems odd to call that single phase? Jd Hornsby I finally have tooling on the way, but, I have forgotten how to be a Journeyman Wireman, will 2 110 legs run a single phase 220 motor? I do not remember any two phase circuits other than 2 of 110 to make 220. I do not even know how they feed even my house here! There is no grounded anything for me to meter with! Most everything is so old and beat up, you do not open it up; Much less, determ and land wires unless it is life and death because it really IS!
