Stupid rain!!! My grandpas basement just flooded. I came downstairs to see water pouring in by the door and the whole floor was soaked. I grabbed a stack of clean blankets (I just washed and folded literally 11 blankets. Glad they were handy, mad I have to wring them out, wash them, dry them, and fold them again!) I got J.R. and he ran upstairs and went out the front door. He built a barrier and stopped the rain, but it was about a foot deep at the bottom of the stairs. He had to take and dump about 30 buckets full. And now here we are, squeegee-ing the basement floor. I already went swimming all day...now Im swimming in the basement! Nothing got ruined, and he has no carpet to worry about and luckily theres a drain down here. And, dont judge me, but for some stupid reason I opened the door at one point and it was like a river coming at me, and I really felt like I was on Titanic and it was the part where its flooding through the doors...haha. Gotta go squeegee!
