Sub- Thanks everyone for wishing me on my Birthday Hello Everyone! Wish everybody a very happy Dhanteras and Dewali. Today the 22nd October happens to be the day onwhich I saw the light of the world, yes today is my birthday. I was born on the day of laxmi puja, the goddess of wealth and so I was considered lucky for them by my parents. Since morning I have been loaded with wishes, be in the form of telephonic call, or sms, or through Facebook and such like other forums from my friends, well wishers and others and I extend my wholehearted thanks to all of you for being so kind to remember this day. It has been a wonderful experience since morning and I am actually overwhelmed. I have undergone a huge identity transformation from what I was and what I am now. This transformation from Ranjit , a boy child for my parents, to Ranjita, the recognition of my true identity as a transgender did not happen over night and also did not come hassle free,and this could not have been possible without the blessings of my family, their support and support of my well wishers, my community, whom I consider as my extended family. I am contented that I have been accepted by my family and I can freely lead the life of my choice. My mother, is not keeping too well so I have to attend her on a regular basis and she needs some nursing also. So I plan to spend the first half of the day with her and my family members, but the second half will be for my friends and office . My office team has organized a celebration especially for me and this initiative is so valuable for me that I could not say “no” even though I would have wanted to spend the day with my ailing mother and also that I am not too well also. I once again thank every one from the deepest bottom of my heart who have wished me for the day. May god bless you all. Cheers Ranjita
