Subanllah interesting ... We take for granted to be able to perform our duties to Allah with full freedom and comfort .. Subanallah a youth boy that has converted to Islam about five months shared with me his dilemma ... He stated sister do you know how difficult it is to hide Islam away from my parents ... I cant let my parents know that I converted to Islam until I finish college if I tell them now it will cause endless problems .. He stated he has to hide away that he prays five times a day , in addition he is fasting and he is afraid his mother will sense that he is fasting .... He stated I try to get out of family functions in the month of Ramadan so I can be able to fast ... Subanallah after hearing his struggles to stay on the right path It makes me wonder why do we nag our own kids to go pray and yet they hesitate to get up? Why we tell our kids to fast and if they fast its like we owe them for that service they doing ??? I just ask Allah to protect this youth and give him the highest Jannah for trying to balance his life with hiding Islam away .... Reflection ... ( his story reminds me about the Sahabaa they use to hide their Islam)
