Subject: August 15 Dinner/Meeting of the Port Royal Ruritans and After-Dinner Speaker Dear Friends—Next Thursday, August 15, Randy Jones, the senior Consulting Architect to the Caroline Public Schools, will be our dinner guest at the Port Royal Ruritans regular monthly meeting--7:00 at the Port Royal firehouse. After dinner, beginning at 7:45, Randy will give a PowerPoint presentation on the condition and modernization needs of Caroline High School and Madison Elementary School, which are to be addressed by the $26.3 million referendum that will be on the November ballot. Randy is a knowledgeable expert and an outstanding speaker, and will be happy to answer questions about this important issue for Caroline residents and homeowners. Non-Ruritans are invited and encouraged to come to this presentation at 7:45 at no charge and I hope you will consider coming. If interested, you are also welcome to come earlier, at 7:00, to join us for dinner. The cost for the dinner is $10.00 per person and interested persons should call me by August 11 so we can be sure to have enough food for everyone. The success of the school bond referendum is vital to the future of Caroline County—not to mention property values—and I hope that we will have a good turnout to hear what Randy has to say and to ask questions.
