The Council have gone a step further by ensuring that proceedings will be broadcast live across the world on the Ennis App and at www,ennisapp.ie. The technology and staffing for this is provided by two Ennis-based companies, Acton Web and ClareTV/Brooks Video. The broadcast is a great way to include our emigrants, the sick and infirm and those simply unable to travel to Ennis on Monday. It will also showcase positive images to tourism markets domestically and abroad. Two of the country’s leading digital communications specialists, Acton Web and Paschal Brook’s Clare TV, both based in Ennis, have come together to provide the technology and sponsor the broadcasting of live pictures worldwide. The Homecoming event is an initiative of Ennis Town Council and Clare County Council and will take place at Active Ennis Tim Smythe Park, formerly known as the Fair Green. It is set for 8 p.m. Paschal Brooks of Clare TV said “we have invested heavily in the latest digital broadcast technology and this event will allow us to showcase our capacity to get live pictures around the world using an All Clare team.” Acton Web CEO, Michael Byrne, “The new sponsorship will facilitate a global gathering of the sons and daughters of the Banner and with the technology and process we have put in place, live global broadcasting of all significant events in Clare is now possible.
