Subject: Racism I am quite inspired to write a play. Where I will find the time!! It has been in my mind all day. The characters; Jews, Christians, Nazis, Buddhists, Hindus, a Sufi, a Zen Master perhaps, all in one big interesting animal farm. The theme- racism of course. Racism. What are we teaching our children? What are we passing on? Our hatreds, resentments and racist views, our fears! We call Jews Zionists and make horrible comparisons to the Nazis and how they attempted to exterminate the Jews, as if the Jews are attempting to exterminate a race! Thats not the truth. I want to ask the bigger questions for the sake of world peace. For the sake of what we pass on to our children. What has happened in Gaza is not happening in the streets of New York or London or Australia and yet there have been horrible stories of attacks on Jewish people as if they are personally accountable for the deaths of the Palestinian civilians in Gaza. They are not. Do we expect them to not defend themselves. The argument has been - they have stolen the land. Who did Australia belong to? Who did America belong to? Lets not overlook world history. Powerful countries have been acquiring land for centuries.. Is this right? It happened. If we are going to promote world peace.... all of the races are going to have to unify on a humanitarian platform. Not choosing race or political or religious sides.... In those countries where we have freedom to choose we have to abstain from taking sides on these platforms that create separation between us. Racism is a cancer to Universal Consciousness. Racism is hatred. In my humble opinion as always. p.s if you join this discussion, please communicate respectfully with peace in mind. Seek to understand and not impose your view when you attempt to make another wrong or yourself right. We are different. Respect each others differences. Peace.
