Subject: Thank you for attending the Global MSA Research Roadmap Meeting Thank you very much for attending and participating in this meeting in Syn(uclein) City! I truly hope that you found it to be productive. This is a busy time of year professionally and personally for everyone, and your willingness to take time to engage with this meeting is sincerely appreciated. I would like to thank Kerry Simon, Elizabeth Blau, and Robin Leach for their important contributions that enabled this meeting to occur. Thank you to meeting co-Chairs Wendy Galpern and Jeff Cummings who were instrumental in helping to guide the development and execution of this meeting. In addition, the meeting Advisory Committee of Glenda Halliday, Walter Koroshetz, Phillip Low, and Gregor Wenning were critical to the meeting’s success, as was the significant work that the Work Group Chairs and the Work Groups did before and during the meeting. Furthermore, Walter’s significant effort to continue in the meeting as Keynote speaker and as a participant despite his serious health issue is greatly appreciated! There seems to be real momentum and interest in the proposed Global MSA Taskforce to help further enable connectivity, collaboration, resource/data sharing, and protocol standardization in MSA research. As mentioned by many during the meeting, it will be important to liaise with existing groups and resources to avoid unnecessary and wasteful overlap and to take advantage of significant coordination opportunities with such expert groups. Your involvement in the intelligent and efficient development of the Global MSA Taskforce will be important, as will your work on finalization of the Global MSA Research Roadmap to enable its publication. Thank you for your commitment to both, and Wendy and I will be in touch shortly with further details. Lastly, thank you on behalf of Kerry Simon and all patients and caregivers who struggle with MSA—your expertise in and commitment to MSA research and treatment is a beacon of hope to them as we all work together to Fight MSA.
