Subject: Today’s Reading: It Is Finished “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” (Philippians 1:6, NLT) In this text, Paul speaks of his persuasion that God will finish what He started in all of us. Paul came to this conclusion simply because of the fact that God had manifested his love to the Philippians and He has also manifested His love towards us by grace through faith. For Romans 5:8 declares that God demonstrated his love for us while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Paul never forgot what he had been before God reached down and saved him on the road to Damascus. “He who began a good work IN you.” What Paul is talking about here is what the Bible calls being born again. A Christian is not someone who has simply changed his ways and decided to reform his own life. A Christian is someone in whom God is doing a work that is so radical, it can only be described as being born again. God does not and will not forsake the work which His own hands have begun. Psalm 138:8 declares – The Lord will work out his plans for my life. For your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. In other words, we are the work of God’s hands, therefore, He will complete what he has begun. If you are not growing in your walk with Christ look at what is happening with the Word that is being sown in your heart. READ THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER IN MATTHEW CHAPTER 13 IN IT’S ENTIRE. God’s Word clearly states that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. God is the one who save us and the one who will keep us. God has given us “Grace” for the Christian race. The fact that God began His work in us is the guarantee that He will finish it. Salvation is a gift freely given apart from any human effort. It is not a reward for good behavior. It does not depend on our performance nor on a certain amount of obedience in having it be permanent in our life. Our eternal security is not associated with our works, but to Christ’s work. God’s grace and mercy has begun a good work in us that God Himself will complete until the day of Jesus Christ. Remember, God is not through with us yet. He who has done a good work in us will complete it until either our death or Christ return. I urge you on today to open up your heart and let the Master in. He is ready and willing to do a work in and through you. Will you receive Him on today? GOD BLESS AND TELL THE LORD THANK YOU THAT HE IS STILL WORKING ON US. HE IS DEFINITELY NOT FINISH WITH YOU YET. Follow Jesus, and enjoy life. Peace be with you as you acknowledge God is with you in all things. ACTIVATE YOUR FAITH ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS INCREASE YOUR FAVOR “Enjoy all that you have while pursuing all you want” Have a Blessed day :-)
