Subodh Gupta, one of Indias leading contemporary artists, has participated in numerous international and solo exhibitions around the world. He address the rapid progress of modernization, urbanization, and consumerism in Indian society in works employing everyday articles widely used in the country. Guptas line of control is a sculpture of a colossal mushroom cloud (26 tons measuring 36 x 36 feet) consisting entirely of inexpensive stainless steel pots and pans that are ubiquitous in India.
