Successful morning recce through "secondary" jungle for a biv practice site. Learned the reality of this missions difficulty having much of the climbs and descents around a ridiculous 75+ degrees judging by the topo maps and terrain we hiked today. Constant hacking with machetes through the wall of vines and branches is best done with the Bear Grylls Parang. Awesome design. Gloves and jungle boots are a must with all the crazy large thorns and tall grass snakes. Love the jungle :-) Stoked for this mission!!
