Such a beautiful and powerful song! I have sang this so many times in my life and felt the power of the Lord....I never realized the history behind it...written as a poem by a young man in his teen years. His name was William Ralph Featherston in the 1800s. He died a young man at the young age of 27. After his death his poem was then put to song! How many lives have been touched by this powerful song! He truly knew what it was to have a heavenly relationship with our Lord Jesus! I encourage each one of you young people to live your life for the Lord, regardless of the way your peers are living theirs. Dont fall for the trap of apathy and mediocrity in your relationship with Christ. Reach for the fullest, most intimate relationship with the Lord that you can.... by seeking hard after Him and loving the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. God can use anyone who is willing and surrendered to Him. Bro Jeff and Mrs Kruchkow so love young people, desiring for you to have a peace in their heart and sincere love for the Lord.
