Such a beautiful memorial service for Chase Stuckey today! Its obvious Chase was loved by many and that he touched untold numbers of people in his short time here on this earth. He loved life and others with great passion and left his mark on those that were fortunate enough to know him. He will live on in their hearts and never be forgotten. With a strength and courage that can only come from the Lord, Laura shared memories of Chase as only a loving mother can do. My heart has been deeply touched and changed forever as I witnessed the love of this mother, not only for her son, but for Jesus. Laura, what a testimony you are to the faithfulness and goodness of our Lord. It is obvious that you and your family are loved by many and you are being covered in prayer continually. The Lord will bind your broken heart and comfort you as you mourn. He will carry you through the days ahead. In your darkest moments, pause, listen and remember these words of love, comfort and hope-- He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3; I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13; May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13; He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:4; But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. Psalm 73:28; I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:2.
