Such a beautiful story!!! Wasfia Nazreenhas empowered women and children in Bangladesh through her activism and social work and is the first Bangladeshi to attempt all 7 summits. And she also founded SFT Bangladesh. When asked where and how she started climbing, she had this to say. I worked in Tibet on a four-year campaign to protest the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The Chinese were using them as a way to validate their claim on Tibet. During that time we were traveling a lot in Tibet and Nepal. We were organizing these protests and events. We’d climb bridges or towers for these events, and so I got some [climbing] training. In 2006, I started doing small climbs. By 2007, I was starting to do six- and seven-thousand-meter peaks.
