Such a proud Daddy moment this morning when my oldest boy Nickolas Hatcher was selected out of every child in his school to lead roughly 20 other kids in a new flag raising detail at school. The teacher that choose him introduce him to the 10 veterans that were asked to attend by telling them that he was chosen because she (the teacher) has never seen a student as patriotic and that loves his country more than him. As this introduction was going on my youngest son Tyler Hatcher who was standing proudly by side suddenly hugs me tightly around my waist planting his head in my back in tears. I asked him...Tyler why the tears buddy and he replays...daddy Im just so proud of him. I was happy as well as extremely proud to see through my tears the tears of patriotism falling down the cheeks of the young men I am raising knowing that they understand the sacrifices that have been made for these beautiful colors. Great job boys I am so very proud of you keep up the great work. Never take for granted that we live in the greatest country on this planet. The land of the free because of the brave. I love you both.
