Such a sweet experience sitting at Walgreens tonight with our Toy donation box. . . A little girl about 9 yrs old had walked in to the store with her mom, went a few isles over but suddenly came back and read the sign we had made for it. . . As soon as they finished shopping the little girl brought over a gift for the box. Seeing her face light up as she gave a gift to another child that she doesnt even know made the few hours of sitting there so nice. As we shop for our own families and friends, we sometimes struggle to pick out the right thing because they may already have it, or wont like it. . . But buying a gift and donating it to a Toy Run is an amazing experience, especially if you are there when these Hundreds of kids and Bikes embark on the hill. Most of these kids dont have much and/or probably wont get a lot for Christmas but for that one day. . . Meeting SANTA, the music, the food and the gifts make them feel like it is all just for them! And they are usually ALL happy with whatever gift they receive regardless if they have one like it or not. Wish we would all be like that! So, thank you to the sweet little girl that gave a gift and to the others that gave gifts and donations tonight.
