Such a tough day...told by my doctors office that all I can do is rest to bring up my blood counts or have a transfusion...and all I want to do is run! I wanted to beat it on my own if possible so I went to bed. It could not have been a better day for my daughters best friend to call me with the news she will be cycling in a race for Stand Up To Cancer and all funds her company is raising will be dedicated to ovarian cancer research. The race is not until September and she has not even gotten home from work, but she took the time to buy teal socks for the entire team, ask my blessing to ride in my name, and remind me that to successfully complete this journey some times fighting means resting and allowing others to run/ride for me! Saying thank you is not enough...I just dont have the words for anything else. THANK YOU Kelley! Tears still streaming and smile from ear to ear!
