Shelman has just made it into my top 5 favorite zombie apocalypse authors with the Dead Hunger Series Boxed Set. I started the series on a recommendation from Shawn Chesser, also in my top 5, without having any idea of how REALLY GOOD these books are. By the middle of the box set, I had also purchased Dead Hunger VI - The Gathering Storm, and Dead Hunger VII - The Reign of Isis because this series is simply excellent. Great plot with interesting quirky characters who find themselves in situations that tax the soul, yet quickly help find the quiet hero within themselves. Gotta love a series with so many heroes! This isnt your usual zombie series - its funny, quirky, and while the zombies are scary, the focus is on human interaction, and their triumph over the zombies...and those that fall to the hordes. This is a read you cant miss. WELL DONE ERIC!
