Such an interesting read... Brings back some very fond memories for myself, but I dont think I ever fully understood the extent to which such cultural politics are applied to the club, or even the citys wider scene. I never went on the tourist trap nights, but then I dont even go to ARQ on a Saturday night because its full of screaming straight woman, so its all relative. My aim was to always be a traveller, not a tourist, so I avoided anything too touristic, but I wonder how many people saw as just some other prick who thinks he had the inside scoop. I had one guy at a party insist that Berlin needs more people like you, man!, but God knows what he was high on so I should probably take that with a grain of salt.
