Such painful news.. The world lost one of its most brilliant comedians to depression. Even those who create laughter and happiness are not immune to this vicious killer. Robin Williams will live through his wonderful work. It is our loss and our time to mourn and realize the nightmare over and over. If you expect life to be fair, you are deliberately putting yourself into a most vulnerable position.. And creative people are the most fragile. This is a fact. If you have not experienced depression, it would be most difficult to imagine what it is and what it is capable of.. Mere survival is not what artists are looking for. Therefore, it is completely understandable and natural that giving up on life is not the least scary when this life is reduced to breathing, pretending to be alive, when in fact you are not. The honesty that Williams put into his roles shall give you a taste of the man. He is all about truth, not faking it. It is that urge for truth, for the genuine, that carves a huge gap in your soul as you realize how fake everything around you has become. Horrifying.. And not all of us are adaptable to it. Hence, even in his weakest moment, Williams remained a hero till the end. True to himself. I dont mean to glorify suicide, or to indulge in over admiration as a tribute. Just saying it is understandable. Outside the dumb borders of right and wrong.. It is very understandable.. Very sad.. And very true. Goodbye Robin Williams.. It was your role in Dead Poets Society that saved my life and helped me beat depression . It aches me to the bone that you didnt find your silver lining. Thanks for blessing this world with your precious talent. RIP.
