Sucks when someone catches you off guard in public and youre absolutely miserable because you just read on your breaking news alert app that another innocent person lost their life and you dont even really know who it is that has struck up a conversation with you and theyre so obnoxiously cheery and super stoked about what they are up to lately like their pop up shop party theyve been arranging with their BFF and they want to reconnect with you and youre trying to remember their name and you dont mean any rude harm but its just that you are a hot mess when it comes to distractions and you seriously just want to be left alone in peace and get back to finding a good firm but not too firm avocado and wow did you say pop up shop I cant even wrap my head around dusting my living room when my landlord stops in let alone having 20 women come over to comment on my picture alignments does this person have any idea what they have their hands dirty in theyre going to need much more than the pink paper plates they have in their basket and to be frank they should have just kept moving on their way to the bakery section but crap now its too late they ask you how you are and you cant answer the question you circle around it revealing that life is shit I mean life is good really were all fine I just dont see the point of some things or why there has to be so much hurt or why people hate everything and you dont want to get into it and its awkward and slowly you realize youve unraveled the leader of happy town and their face becomes pale with reality and you learn theyre way worse off than you then they let out the truth that the pop up shop is going to be a disaster and they secretly hate their BFF and their boyfriend has been distant lately and theyre basically done with trying so now you become very comfortable with the interaction because you are so messed up the only thing that calms you is knowing you arent alone when it comes to chaos and why did she have to stop she could have just gone about her day looking at bulk candies that will match her party theme and why did she put on a fake smile you would have gladly listened to the sad truth but I guess most people dont want that they want to hear the Im good so they can get back to their app that counts their calories and you tell her that things are gonna get better even though its too late cause you just said things were shit but deep down you do have hope its just hard to bring that out at a grocery store when there are kids running around throwing tomatoes and people pushing you to get to the pretzel thins and you realize its time to say bye and you say hang in there and you get home and put jeopardy on then slice your finger cutting your avocado
